APRC
The Aprilia RS 660 is equipped with the APRC (Aprilia Performance Ride Control) electronic package, which utilises a six-axis IMU with accelerometers and gyroscopes capable of real-time monitoring of the bike’s dynamics. This data allows the APRC system to intervene with precision to optimise performance while ensuring an engaging yet safe riding experience. The APRC system comprises five riding modes, ALC (launch control), ATC (adjustable traction control which can be deactivated), Aprilia Wheelie Control, Cruise Control, Aprilia Quick Shift, Aprilia Engine Brake Control and Aprilia Engine Mapping. This advanced system ensures top-tier performance across all riding contexts.
Euro 5+ twin-cylinder engine
The 660-cc liquid-cooled forward-facing twin-cylinder engine is Euro 5+ compliant and equipped with four valves per cylinder and enlarged 52-mm throttle bodies. This set-up can deliver a maximum power output of 105 hp at 10400 rpm and peak torque of 70 Nm at 8400 rpm, ensuring a responsive and progressive throttle response at any speed.
Racing aerodynamics
The RS 660 benefits from racing-derived aerodynamics, featuring an advanced fairing design and built-in winglets. Beneath the windscreen, a large central wing is paired with two smaller aerodynamic appendages which enhance air penetration and high-speed stability. The side fairings retain the dual-layer design, which functions as an integrated aerodynamic element, optimising airflow while also shielding the rider from air pressure and the hot air emitting from the engine and radiator. These aerodynamic solutions not only boost performance but also enhance rider comfort, reinforcing the versatile nature of the RS 660—perfect for both daily riding and pushing lap times on the track.
Full-LED illumination
The RS 660’s front lighting set-up features a distinctive triple-element LED headlight and built-in indicators. It includes a twilight sensor for automatic low-beam activation, which improves visibility while riding.
Brakes with Cornering ABS
The RS 660’s Brembo radial-mounted front brake set-up is designed for high-performance sports riding, providing precise control and a response that can be constantly modulated whether on the road or the track. Its best-in-class performance is further enhanced by the advanced multimap Cornering ABS, which maximises safety without compromising performance. This system optimises braking and ABS intervention in corners through a specialised algorithm that continuously monitors multiple parameters, including lateral acceleration, front brake pressure, lean angle, pitch and yaw, adjusting the brake action to ensure the best balance between deceleration and stability.
